◎简　　介

　　梅斯·毕夏普从南北战争的战场回乡，出发去找寻他的弟弟，却听说弟弟迪在德克萨斯抢银行被抓，面临被吊死的下场，于是假扮行刑人前往搭救，却一时起意抢了银行的一万美元，之后兄弟俩和同伙一起越过边境逃往墨西哥，还劫持了新寡的斯托纳夫人当人质，一直追求斯托纳夫人的警长也带人紧追不舍，虽然兄弟俩都爱上了斯托纳夫人，但梅斯还是希望弟弟能改邪归正，和斯托纳夫人一起去蒙大拿州殖民，但他们却被墨西哥当地的土匪围困在一个废弃的小镇上。
